Music Notes for the week of 9/15
Here is the schedule for the week:
- Monday: Madrigals Rehearsal 3-5pm
- Tues: Men’s Choir 3-4pm, Renegade Regiment 6-9pm, Jr Regiment 6-7pm
- Wed: SMS Honors Chorale 3-4pm, Renegade Regiment 3-5pm
- Thurs: Madrigals Rehearsal 3-5pm, Renegade Regiment 6-9pm
- Fri: SMS Honors Chorale 3-4pm
ILMEA
This week all Jr and Sr ILMEA nominations are due. This is a fantastic opportunity to further a student’s experience in music! This is an experience that takes a lot of work but is extremely rewarding.
If your student is auditioning for ILMEA we want to make it clear that they should be working on their ILMEA music everyday.
All of the music teachers offer extra help and lessons to help prepare for ILMEA auditions as well! Seek extra help!
The audition date for ILMEA is October 11
Regiment Recap
The Renegade Regiment had a great first show out this past weekend! The Regiment placed 5th in our class and received Best Drum Major. Percussion placed 2nd overall in our class! Great work everyone. This is a good starting place and reference point for us to work from for the rest of the season. I hope all of the rookies enjoyed their first performance out in public and in a competitive field. There is a lot more competition in the A class than ever before. It is going to be an exciting season!!
Our next show is Sat Sept 27th at the NCHS Marching Classic. We are still looking for Volunteers, please sign up!!
Dwight Canceled
The Dwight Show has been canceled due to many Homecoming conflicts with other bands. There will be no show on Sunday 9/21 for the Jr Regiment or Renegade Regiment.
The Renegade Regiment will be having a short rehearsal on Sunday instead of their show. Details TBA
