New Dates for the Calendar

There have been a few recent additions to the calendar as we move into our Winter/Spring seasons.

Concert Band/Wind Ensemble Dress Rehearsal

We have a new percussion class this year which has been a wonderful experience for our students so far. However since the percussion and winds now practice separately we need to hold a combined rehearsal for them prior to our concert. The Dress Rehearsal is Wed, Oct 29 from 3-5pm. Concert Band will rehearse from 3-4pm and Wind Ensemble from 4-5pm,

Winterguard

Last year’s winterguard was a huge success. Students had a great time trying out the activity for the first time. We performed at a few Basketball games and even at a local Winterguard competition. This year, we are looking to increase the level of the group. Amy Buckbee will be coaching this year and she is extremely excited to get the Winterguard involved more.

This year’s winterguard informational meeting will be held Tues, Oct 28th at 6pm in the SHS Band Room

Indoor Percussion

Similar to the winterguard, this was a new activity last year for the Sandwich Music Department. We are looking to increase involvement and possibly add a marching component to this year’s show. Jake Coon will continue on as our percussion instructor.

This year’s Indoor Percussion informational meeting will be held Wed, Nov 5th at 6pm in the SHS Band Room
